Team Twisted: Myles Dutton
WHEN AND WHY DID YOU JOIN TWISTED?
I joined Twisted in February 2020 as an Apprentice Sales Executive just after finishing my A-levels. I always knew that I wanted to do an apprenticeship and as someone who is extremely interested in the automotive industry, Twisted stood out, having such an esteemed reputation. An apprenticeship here was an offer I knew I would be lucky to receive and a fool to refuse.
WHAT ARE THE MAJOR CHANGES YOU’VE SEEN AT TWISTED?
Even though I’ve only been here a short time, the progression we have made is amazing. From the release of our EV range, the development of the LT1 V8 installation and the upcoming opening of our new showroom, all in less than a year!
YOUR TWISTED HIGHLIGHT IS…
Joining in February, the national lockdowns and restrictions have made for a busy few months! Unfortunately a number of shows were cancelled, which we were all really looking forward to. Despite this, my highlight has been helping customers add Twisted parts to their own vehicles through our online parts store.
DRIVING A TWISTED ACROSS THE WORLD, WHICH COLLEAGUE DO YOU TAKE AND WHY?
It would have to be James our Marketing Manager (and not just because he let me feature in the paper). James is always cracking a joke and we would definitely need a Twisted with a fridge and kettle installed as neither of us can cope without a good cup of coffee!
‘My favourite build, although it wasn’t built while I have been here is the Corris Grey Custom Build V8’
YOUR FAVOURITE TWISTED BUILD IS…
My favourite build, although it wasn’t built while I have been here is the Corris Grey Custom Build V8. The high spec leather interior and all of the exterior additional extras just add to the fact it has a V8 engine hiding. By far one of my favourite builds we have created!
TELL US ABOUT AN INTEREST OF YOURS…
I have always been a collector of all things old and rusty including coins, pocket watches, retro radios and other vintage items. It is great to get hands-on with these things, so on my weekends I love to restore them as a project and enjoy seeing the finished product.
