When and why did you join Twisted?
I joined in November 2018. I had worked with a world championship winning rally team, and had reached a point where I had achieved everything I had wanted to at that given company, and wanted a new challenge.

What are the major changes you have seen at Twisted over the years?
Well I have only been here a year or so, but the biggest change is seeing the production of the Series builds. Working our way through these final numbers is a massive project, considering how many other jobs we have on the go as well!

Your Twisted highlight is…
Has to be working at the Geneva Motorshow. As a big car fan, it has always been on my bucket list, so to actually get the opportunity to work there really was something special.

Driving a Twisted across the world, which colleague do you take and why?
Would have to be Dan, my colleague in parts, we work together day in day out and he’s an asset to have around and I can rely on him 110%. We always get along, even when we are under pressure, so a road trip would be a breeze!

Your favourite Twisted build is…
Would have to be the original Retro. I saw that car a lot around Thirsk whilst growing up here, and it always caught my attention. It’s just a great looking 90, and a really usable one at that. For me it sums up what a Twisted should be.

“My previous job saw me work as a number one rally technician for a World Rally Championship winning team in the Lake District. I travelled around the world with the job of looking after competition vehicles on events and back in the workshop.”

Tell us about an interest of yours
It is well known at Twisted that I like my food (understatement of the year). I love to cook at home. Anything from a curry feast to a steak night. I must say, I am fairly proud of my roast potatoes when crafting a Sunday dinner.

What is your dream car and why?
I think It would have to be the Subaru Impreza 22b. Growing up it was a poster car for me and it has since turned into a proper classic with a proper price tag! To be honest there is a list as long as my arm of vehicles I would love to own!

The best thing about living in Yorkshire is…
For me Yorkshire has everything! Trendy cities with amazing places to eat and drink, stunning scenery whether it’s the coastline, up in the hills or somewhere like York with its amazing architecture. Also it’s a well known fact that the best cups of tea are poured here!

Your ideal plan for a Sunday…
Sundays are for one thing… being lazy. It would have to start with a lie-in followed by a full English breakfast then the day spent watching sport or movies. I also love a long walk on a Sunday with my partner.

When you retire you want to…
Move into a cottage in the Lake District. I lived there for four years and always said I would go back when I retire. Spending days out walking in the hills with my partner and our dog, then finding a nice country pub for a meal and a cold beer after.
