Interesting fact:

Before I got into my current career in the automotive industry, I used to work as a falconer, flying birds of prey for a living.

When and why did you join Twisted?
I joined Twisted in August 2020. I was previously at a highly successful motorsport team in the Lake District for nearly four years. Like many, my previous workplace was impacted massively by Covid-19. Taking on a new challenge with Twisted last year, I haven’t looked back since.

Is there one thing you didn’t realise Twisted did that you now do?
The levels of diversity when it comes to builds. Anything from the EV, to the LT1 and LS3 V8 builds. Customers can purchase anything from a full go anywhere vehicle capable of anything that is thrown at it to the stylish, smart and subtle builds which wouldn’t look out of place in a big city.

Your twisted highlight so far is…
I don’t know if you would call it a highlight but it certainly puts a smile on my face each time, hearing feedback from customers when they have received their vehicle back from us. Whether it has been in for some small work or major overhaul it is incredible to hear from them, especially if it is to say how much they are loving their Twisted! It gives you immense satisfaction and keeps you striving to be the best.

Driving a twisted across the world, which colleague do you take and why?
I think it would have to be our Parts Manager Joe Johnson, I have known Joe for nearly 5 years now and worked with him as long. We get along really well and it’s safe to say that there would be plenty of laughs along the way.

Your favourite twisted build is?
That is a tough one! Since I started in August last year I have seen the company turn out some incredible vehicles. I think it’s between the Welsh Grey 90 Station Wagon and the custom T130 (below) that went to Africa. Both spectacular vehicles in their own right!

Tell us about an interest of yours
My main interest has always been cars. Having got to a point where I have just bought my first home with my girlfriend, I am now looking to get myself a project car to work on, so that’s going to take up a lot of my time, much to her despair!

What are your dream cars and why?
My dream car would be a Mercedes E63 AMG Estate. It is the ultimate ‘do- everything’ car and they sound epic. But apart from that, I can think of tens or even hundreds of cars I would want, so the list could go on and on…

The best thing about living in Yorkshire is…
For me it has to be the variety in the landscape. From the little coastal towns, to the baron moors, to the rolling hills of the Dales, there is something for everyone. It is impossible to get bored inYorkshire. If you are getting bored, you aren’t exploring it enough!

Your ideal plan for a Sunday is…
A bit of a lie in, a quick bite to eat and up and out to enjoy the day with my partner. Then it would be home to relax in the garden with a couple of good mates coming round for a catch up.

When you retire you want to…
Get a cottage in the Lake District and move there. I lived there for four and a half years, and it’s become a place that means a lot to me. If I didn’t have to work, it would be perfect, so I could just spend my days walking. I would also do a bit of travelling to parts of the world I haven’t yet ticked off!
