2.2 Puma TDCI ‘DPF Back’ Exhaust System is manufactured from 2.5” diameter grade 304 stainless steel 1.5mm wall tube. All joints are TIG welded, all clamps are stainless along with brackets, flanges and hangars. The smooth system uses mandrel bending to maintain optimum diameter ensuring through flow is optimised. A 3 ‘’ polished rolled-end tail pipe sits subtly in place of the standard one.
Available with or without silencer, as opposed to a standard flat faced silencer box, the Twisted silencer has conical end caps. The key advantage to this is for off-road use. Often the silencer can be caught or knocked, whereas the conical shape helps deflect knocks and dramatically reduces the chance of damage.
Even without a silencer in the twisted cat back system, the noise level does not increase excessively due to the original diesel particulate filter still being present, it produces a lovely burble pre turbo and a whisp through the range.
The first Twisted exhaust systems were first launched in 2002 after an extensive amount of research to ensure the optimum design was achieved. No other system produces the same quality of sound, performance with longevity.
The system keeps in place the diesel particulate filter within the front pipe which is a legal requirement and replaces the back half of the system and holds an original owner lifetime guarantee.
