The most influential Twisted product, our progressive suspension transforms the ride of a Defender.
Created within a two year development programme in partnership with suspension engineer Rhoddy Harvey Bailey, our springs and anti roll bars are manufactured in Germany by Eibach exclusively for Twisted. The dampers are custom valved to suit the spring rates, from Bilstein. A bias on the anti roll bars is switched to give more travel on the front axle, resulting in less under-steer and more traction when driving. Comfort on road is enhanced through revised spring rates, softer in the first 25mm of movement, soaking up the normal undulations whilst firmer in the centre of the coil to create a more predictable, communicative drive.
The vehicle ride height is designed to remain close to factory settings. We offer the 110 option with rear levelling which will bring the rear down by around 1.5 inch to level the roof line bringing the overall vehicle height down. For recreational Defender owners this would be our preferred option.
If you are a commercial 110 user carrying large loads of towing trailer we advise the regular setup.
All components are replaced including:
- Custom valved gas dampers
- Steering gas damper
- Progressive standard ride height coil springs
- Front & rear anti roll bars and bushes
Please be advised, customers with an earlier TD5 model may not have anti roll bar brackets fitted, and therefore these would need to be installed prior the anti roll bars to be fitted.
